About the event
Join Wheelhouse instructor Red on Friday evenings for Slow Stitching, guided stitching sessions that will teach you a variety of techniques, including:
Thread color blending
Needle and thread coordination
Throwaway knots
Stem stitch
Filler stitches
Satin stitch
Backstitch
Edging stitches
Pile stitches
Raised embroidery
Jacobian embroidery
Victorian embroidery
Multi-cultural embroidery embellishments
Sessions will run from 7-8:30pm. The only thing you’ll need is your glasses, if you need them to see up close — otherwise come as you are. Slow Stitching is about slowing down, meeting people, and working with your hands.
Join for one, or join for all! These creative workshops will give you opportunities to explore new techniques, build your skill set over time, and develop a life-long appreciation and habit of stitching.
BYOB. Nonalcoholic drinks & snack will be provided for guests.
$25 or 2 punches.
*Every Wheelhouse class has a minimum class size requirement. We do this to ensure proper compensation for our instructors and to foster the best learning environment for our students. After all creativity is at its best when shared between different voices! If the minimum class requirement is not met we reserve the right to cancel the class. In the event of cancelation all participants will be informed of class closure and issued a full refund.
