Mini Watercolor Paintings

Join our multidisciplinary instructor Red for an exploration in watercolor painting on "mini" size papers. We will experiment with scaling watercolor techniques for miniature compositions with a focus on travel art techniques. We will build skills around layering of color, glazing, texture and basic color theory.

Students will be painting images from photos. Students may bring images of nature, flowers, etc. to paint.

There will be three sizes to explore:

• Mini

• Medium

• 4x6 (large)

Watercolor paper, brushes, paint and other tools will be provided. Images will be provided as well.

Students should expect to complete at least 2 mini paintings during the 3 hour workshop

*Every Wheelhouse class has a minimum class size requirement. We do this to ensure proper compensation for our instructors and to foster the best learning environment for our students. After all creativity is at its best when shared between different voices! If the minimum class requirement is not met we reserve the right to cancel the class. In the event of cancelation all participants will be informed of class closure and issued a full refund.
